“It is the long term vision of the Slightams to see more successful new startup businesses and to also support local charitable organizations in the Stewartville area and to see both the business and community thrive.”

Tom and Sue Slightam are the owners of Jimmy’s Salad Dressings and Dips, a small family owned and operated business in Stewartville, Minnesota. When first starting out they received assistance from the city of Stewartville and pledged they would pay it forward someday.

28 Years later they established the Low Water Bridge Foundation to give back to the community by helping new entrepreneurs in the startup phase of their business with a monetary gift. It is with the hope that the Low Water Bridge Foundation gift recipients use this monetary gift to endure the turbulent waters of a new startup business and find long term success and the ability to someday pay it forward themselves.

It is the long term vision of the Slightams to see more successful new startup businesses in the Stewartville area and to see both the business and community thrive. They have been the recipients themselves of the support and generosity of the Stewartville area and want to build on that spirit of community.

The Slightams appreciate all the assistance they have received from the Rochester Area and Stewartville Area Community Foundations in setting up and managing The Low Water Bridge Foundation and their Donor Advised Fund. They would also like to thank Vision Design Group for their generosity and assistance with the Low Water Bridge website.

The Low Water Bridge Foundation was established in 2017 by Tom and Sue Slightam to assist selected local entrepreneurs with a monetary gift to off set costs in the startup phase of their new business and to encourage new business in the Stewartville area.
